about me
I'm a strength, movement & mobility coach based in Toronto, Canada.
As a dedicated student of human potential and personal development, my passion for mindfully exploring and redefining my boundaries is what led me to this work that I love. I continue to develop and expand my physical and intellectual knowledge to feed my current obsessions, and support my ability to teach and share what I learn.
My job is to facilitate a safe space for you to navigate your edges through patterns that are functional, purposeful and sustainable. My goal is that throughout this process you will cultivate positive changes (both inward and outward), and I truly consider it a privilege to be a part of your growth!
While the perfectionist in me is into composition and symmetry, I am committed to the process, NOT THE PICTURE. I love to work with people who can embrace this concept. You don’t have to be a hardcore athlete, you don’t need a deadline, and you don’t have to be broken, you just need to be committed to the work (and sometimes the hardest work is letting go).
I don’t take myself too seriously, but I’m pretty serious about what I do.
a few random facts about me:
I have a Bachelor of Design and worked as a successful Designer and Art Director for 8 years (I still love the creative process and take on projects from time to time for a select few)
When I turned 30 I “pulled a Britney” (shaved my head), quit my job to freelance and swore to never take on a full time "desk job" again (for fear of losing my soul), and pursued my dream to teach yoga
Once upon a time I had dreadlocks, a motorcycle license, and played guitar
I prefer non fiction
I am a self-proclaimed wine, coffee and chocolate snob
I love superhero movies
I'm a middle child
My husband and I paid a total of $1200 to fly our cat (Penny) to Ireland. She is worth every Penny.
I am a BJJ white belt. The struggle is real but the process is awesome.
I love handstands. A lot.

kind words
“Over the last year, I have been lucky to work with Sarah; one to one, to experience her movement workshops, hand balancing workshops and also her strength and conditioning classes, pretty much everything she has offered since arriving here in Ireland (girl crush, I follow her around!). I simply love her style of teaching, her attention to detail in the form of alignment, how she explains the particular movement really helps you understand the how and why, to me as a yoga teacher this has really inspired how I deliver my own classes.
Sarah puts herself 100% into everything she shares, not only is she an incredible teacher but a beautiful human being and I feel so privileged to now not only be her student but also her friend.”
“My relationship with Sarah began as her teacher and mentor at the Spirit Loft Movement & Yoga Centre in Toronto, Canada. It’s truly been a privilege and honour to watch her grow and evolve both as a dedicated and curious student of movement, as well as, into the role of a skilled and knowledgeable teacher and trainer.
Sarah brings an unrelenting work ethic and enthusiasm to her community that is contagious and motivating both for her colleagues and clientele. Sarah not only created a job for herself at Spirit Loft, but became an invaluable team member who contributed to our growth and program development. Sarah’s caring and compassionate nature provides yet another skillset that allows her to nurture growth and positivity in others.
I highly recommend Sarah as a movement teacher, private trainer and team member for anyone looking to develop their embodied awareness, physical literacy, movement potential and sense of well-being. We miss you in Toronto Sarah! ”
“In many ways, Sarah and I are cut from the same cloth. We met as fellow Ashtangis, drawn to a practice that demanded as much from our psyches as it did from our bodies. When injury entered each of our lives in different forms, we started questioning the movement system that for so long had defined a large part of our identities. We bonded through these questions, finding an ally in one another at a time when so few in the yoga community were willing to “detour” from the norm.
Watching Sarah’s practice evolve since that time has been nothing short of inspiring. Her tireless dedication to movement education allows her to coach others on a relatable, down-to-earth level. Sarah approaches movement from a genuine place of authenticity, sharing not only her triumphs but also her struggles, demonstrating the power of commitment and integrity. This work-ethic informs Sarah’s coaching process, providing her clients and students with the tools needed to progress toward their goals. As a fellow coach and educator, I trust Sarah immensely and have referred multiple clients to her without hesitation.”
“I’ve trained with Sarah for almost two and a half years now (both in-person and through online training) and it’s been life changing. Those two years have had some significant upheaval - life changes, major surgeries and health crises, injuries, etc. Through it all Sarah has been a constant and pushes me to be consistent and focused, without ever judging if (when) I slip up or take a few steps back.
Through working with Sarah I’ve improved my strength, mobility and confidence. I spent years in daily pain and through thorough assessment of the underlying issues and progressively building my program, I am now pain free - and know how to stay that way. Since October 2017, I’ve been working with her as an online coach and it’s allowed me to take more ownership in my training, while still providing me with support and guidance.
Thank you Sarah - for being my trainer and coach, but also my friend.”
